This weekend AJ Rhoads and the Rhoads Motorsports crew put themselves on display at the Auto Zone store #3089 in Bloomington, MN. Rhoads is out supporting the upcoming Auto Zone NASCAR Mid-West series race. Auto Zone store manager, Dave Jontonen, held a special Honorary Pit Crew drawing for his store customers. The lucky winner, Alan Govert of Bloomington, gets the opportunity to become a part of the Rhoads Pit Crew for the upcoming race. “I’m very impressed with the customer turnout,” said outside sales representative “Smokie” Smokovich.
The touring series will be racing at a track that holds a lot of sentiment for Rhoads. Raceway Park in Shakopee, MN, is as close to hometown racing that Rhoads gets on the touring schedule. While he enjoys racing all over the Mid-West, he can’t help but be excited for the NASCAR Touring Series to be coming to town. "This is gonna be a tough one," Rhoads said this weekend. "There's gonna be a lot of side by side racing out there. This could be one of the toughest on the schedule this year."
